Track purchase order fulfillment and delivery
Keep item-level shipping and delivery details with the order.
Before you start
Open the saved purchase order and have the latest supplier or delivery update ready.
Step by step
Find the item
Open the Fulfillment section and identify the line item whose delivery information changed.
Update fulfillment
Use the available fulfillment status controls, including a custom status where offered, to describe the item’s current progress.
Add tracking details
Enter the carrier, tracking number, and optional tracking link when known. Check links before saving them.
Save and review
Save the update and check the item’s recorded information. Update other items separately when they arrive on different dates.
What happens next
The purchase order keeps a record of delivery progress per item. A fulfillment update does not log a supplier payment.
Good to know
Use the supplier’s latest information; entering a tracking number does not guarantee automatic carrier tracking.
